Pico & Lila
Video and narrative poem created for the Language, Communication, and Discourse II course, taught by Miguel Carvalho at the Department of Arts and Design at PUC-Rio.
In this class, we were tasked with creating a narrative that had a clear structure, including a beginning, climax, and conclusion. Additionally, we were asked to relate our work to a typical Brazilian celebration. I chose to connect my narrative to São João, focusing on the symbolic birth of this celebration through the bonfire.
The project required both a written text and a visual component, so I chose to create a video. I gathered various birds over time and used their flight to tell a story that I dreamt, lived, and created.
